The popular Nigerian music Boss, 2Baba has alerted the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), over what he tagged ‘Bad Songs’ flooding the airwaves.
Legendary (2baba) in an interview with E-Daily, talked about the major challenges facing the Nigerian music industry.
According him, Many crap songs are just eveywhere and trending, because gate keepers who play good songs do it only when people are asleep at night; when nobody is available to listen to their music.
2face Idibia made it clear that, most people are just scared to invest their treasure on artistes who sing only good songs.
2Baba Talks On Bad Music Flooding Airwaves, Calls On NBC
The music might be entertaining but the ears of the people has changed. You and I know that on a normal day it is good music we listen to, except when we go to parties. The minds of youths now has switched to the trending songs being produced nowadays; it’s difficult to remove it, except a delibrate action is being taken. – 2Baba
While speaking on this, he called on the National Broadcasting Commission, talking about how the regulatory body’s value systems have changed.
“Before NBC gets any music banned, it has already gone viral, trending all over the town. It’s after the song has gone viral that they will now want to ban it. No one is doing any work.
It is important that we have a good government, and to have that, we must have law abiding people, because if we don’t have responsible citizens, this is the kind of government we will keep having”.
